Beach Blanket Babylon
A Dinner Theater Event
Tuesday, April 13
7:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Moscone Center South, Halls B-C
On June 7, 1974, Steve Silver produced a small show in the back room of the Savoy Tivoli Restaurant in San Francisco. There were 214 seats crammed into a tiny space. The floor was covered with sand and a lifeguard tore tickets at the door. The show was supposed to run for six weeks. That was over 35 years ago.
Steve Silver’s Beach Blanket Babylon is the world’s longest running musical revue. Packed with hilarious spoofs of pop culture and political life, brimming with outrageous style, and featuring one show-stopping number after another, the revue continues to dazzle audiences at Club Fugazi in San Francisco’s North Beach.
We’re bringing the show to you right at the Moscone Center. So get ready. Because you might just not have another chance to see a chorus line of hula-dancing housewives again!

Community Project
Since 1997, San Francisco City Academy has been committed to providing quality elementary education to the children of San Francisco’s Tenderloin district. The Academy individualizes its curriculum for each student’s strengths and weaknesses, and provides a framework where children can excel at their own pace. In 2008, San Francisco Academy launched their first Building Campaign for a new school building that will be just about ready to open when we gather in San Francisco for Summit in April. But to realize their goal of creating a new, safe, and supportive learning environment, San Francisco City Academy needs your help!
Join us on Saturday, April 10, from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. to help San Francisco City Academy complete this very important project. Tasks will include painting, helping to set up the computer lab and library, and whatever else might need to be done. You can also volunteer your time to tutor a child who might need some extra help.
You will have the opportunity to express your interest in participating when you register. Detailed information will then be sent to those who wish to volunteer their time, closer to the conference. Limited to 100 volunteers.
